The first sketch
Designer Jasbir Chakraborty began her fashion journey in 2002, completing a two-year Fashion Designing course at the Lisa Institute in Delhi.

Six years of craft
She spent the next six years as a fashion designer at a renowned export house in Delhi — gaining experience and refining her eye for silhouette, texture and detail.

Kizmit Designs is born
In 2008 Jasbir established Kizmit Designs as a designer boutique in Delhi. It quickly became known for its blend of silhouettes, opulent textures and intricate detailing — embroidery that carried elegance, charisma and sensuality.

A new home in Kolkata
In 2014 Kizmit moved to Kolkata and grew into Kizmit Designs – Designer Studio, carrying the same devotion to handwork into a new city.
